Fidya and Kaffarah Ramadan 2026
Pay your Fidya & Kaffarah today, feed those in need and let your fasts be complete. Fidya is given by a Muslim who is unable to fast during Ramadan due to illness, old age, or other valid reasons and cannot make up the missed fasts later. It is a way to compensate for missed fasts by providing food to those in need, ensuring the obligation of fasting is still fulfilled in a meaningful way.
The Prophet peace be upon him taught that feeding the poor is among the best forms of charity and a source of great reward.

Fulfil Your Fidya and Kaffarah Duties with Compassion
Make a lasting impact by supporting families through Fidya and Kaffarah this Ramadan 2026
Fasting is one of the most important acts of worship in Islam and it helps Muslims grow in faith and self-discipline. However, some people are unable to fast due to long term illness, old age, or serious health conditions. In these cases, Islam allows them to give Fidya so that they can still fulfil their religious responsibility. When a fast is intentionally broken without a valid reason, Kaffarah is required as a form of atonement. Both Fidya and Kaffarah are acts of accountability and mercy that protect the spiritual value of Ramadan.
Through Edhi Foundation UK, your Fidya and Kaffarah are used to provide food to people who do not have enough to eat. Many families struggle to afford even a simple iftar or suhoor meal. Your donation helps them break their fast with dignity and gives them the strength to get through each day of Ramadan.
The Prophet (saw) said that "Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven." [Bukhari]
Fidya is given when missed fasts cannot be made up later. Kaffarah requires feeding sixty poor people if continuous fasting is not possible. These obligations turn personal hardship into a source of help for others.
To atone for intentionally breaking the fast, one must fast continuously for 60 days. However, if you are unable to do that, then you have to feed 60 poor people at a rate of £4 per person (the cost of an average meal in the UK). As a result, this amounts to £240 for each intentionally missed/broken fast.

اللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا فِدْيَتَنَا وَكَفَّارَتَنَا وَاجْعَلْهَا رَحْمَةً لِلَّذِينَ يَتَلَقَّوْنَهَا
O Allah accept our Fidya and Kaffarah and make them a source of mercy for those who receive them.
Dua for Those Who Are Struggling
O Allah ease the hardship of every family who benefits from this charity and grant them comfort and peace.
