Destitute Homes
Edhi Homes, also known as "Apna Ghar" (our home), provide shelter and care for mentally ill destitute individuals, orphans, and runaways. With 13 homes across the country, including seven in Karachi, approximately six thousand individuals reside in these facilities.
Specialized Support Team
Each Edhi Home has a dedicated team of specialists to address the specific needs of residents. Supported by a small staff, these specialists offer personalized care and assistance to ensure the well-being of individuals residing in the homes. Residents are encouraged and empowered to take care of their personal needs, fostering a sense of self-help and independence.
Promoting Self-Sufficiency
Residents at Edhi Homes are encouraged to become self-reliant by taking care of their personal needs. Through training and support, individuals learn valuable life skills and gain a sense of pride and self-respect. By fostering a culture of self-sufficiency, Edhi Foundation empowers residents to lead fulfilling lives and contribute positively to society.
